Polyshe Rope Dog Lead - 2 m

The Polyshe Rope Lead is a 2-metre climbing-grade braided rope lead at 12 mm diameter with a single reflective polyester strand woven through the braid that runs the full 2 m length. The rope is the same 3-strand construction used in EN-892 certified climbing equipment - the braid outer contains a parallel-strand core that carries the load, so the rope does not stretch significantly under the momentary tension of a dog check without losing its round cross-section and comfortable grip feel over time. A lead that goes oval-shaped after a month of use loses that grip quality; this one does not because the core prevents deformation.

The clip is a solid brass swivel bolt snap at 55 mm - the swivel bearing sits between the clip body and the rope attachment loop so the lead does not accumulate twist over a walk. Solid brass is used rather than zinc alloy because it does not develop surface corrosion in UK rain conditions. The handle loop at the top end is formed by a spliced eye secured with a stainless steel ferrule pressed to 4 kN - not a knot, not a sewn fold. The lead is available in four colours (Navy, Moss, Slate, Oatmeal) and the reflective strand is matched in colour saturation so it is not visually intrusive during daylight.
